The Force of the Buyer can likewise be applied to the business as far as thinking about the business as a purchaser from its providers, For each situation, be that as it may, the general quality of the organization, both when feeling the power purchasers apply on it, and as it purchases from providers, is moderately feeble. Neither the organization nor the purchasers can apply an elevated level of purchasing power on the organization As indicated by Porter, the intensity of the purchaser is solid when the individuals who purchase from the organization, or the organization as a purchaser, exist in a constrained commercial center. Created as a vital reaction to the web, Dell propelled a plan of action which concentrated on 'work to arrange' PCs. The organization concentrated on associating with the purchaser's prompt wants, and afterward constructing exactly what was requested. For Dell, this choice cut expenses, and expanded the speed at which the organization could work. As indicated by Bossidy and Charan (2002) Dell turned into the market chief with this plan of action. The organization turned its stock 80 times each year, as opposed to multiple times which is the run of the mill stock turnover pace of its rivals. Through this procedure, dell got known as the market head as far as getting the shopper precisely what the individual in question needed, on schedule, precisely, and with ease. This situated Dell to encounter the achievement which it is presently battling to cling to. Be that as it may, this doesn't make Dell a solid purchaser as a purchaser of merchandise and ventures when contrasted with its opposition. Dell, HP, IBM, and Sun Microsystems are on the whole buyers of comparative items. While the organizations may have their own mannerisms regarding what explicit parts and pieces they buy, they are altogether buying similar kinds of items, and in this way all have comparable degrees of intensity in the commercial center as a purchaser. Dell may have a bigger force in the commercial center than its rivals on account of their more elevated level of volume it devours. Be that as it may, the organization isn't an elite

All states have drunk driving or DUI laws that provide for greater punishment under enhanced sentencing. A drunk driving sentence enhancement can be a legal or factual circumstance that provides for stiffer punishment because of a greater threat to public safety by the driver. These sentence enhancements can include higher fines, longer license suspension and, in a growing number of states, mandatory jail time. DUI Enhancement Factors Although drunk driving laws vary from state to state, here are some of the factors that can trigger DUI sentence enhancements: Prior DUI Conviction: In every state in the U.S. penalties are greater for any driver with a previous drunk driving offense. Some states enhance the sentence for a DUI within the past five years, some 10 years and some states for any previous conviction no matter how long ago it was. High-Level Blood-Alcohol Concentration: More states are beginning to adopt laws that increase penalties for drivers who have high blood-alcohol levels at the time of their arrests. Some states place that level at 0.15 and some states have even greater enhancements for a BAC above 0.20. Refusal to Take  a Breath Test: In many states, if you refuse to take a breath test  you can be subjected to more penalties that you would have if you submitted to the testing. In some states, refusal means immediate revocation of your license and in other states, it means mandatory jail time. You can no longer be given an enhanced sentence for refusing to take a blood or urine test unless the police first obtain a warrant, the Supreme Court ruled in June 2016. Child Endangerment: If you were caught driving under the influence with a child in the vehicle, your sentence will be enhanced in many states, even if its your own child. In some states, the enhancement applies for children under age 18 and even greater enhancement for those under 14. Property Damage: If you had a wreck while driving under the influence, your penalties will be greater in most states; even greater if you do not have required auto insurance. Bodily Injury: If you injured someone in your wreck while intoxicated your sentence will be enhanced even more. Other Factors: Other circumstances that can increase your penalties and fines for a DUI conviction include: No valid drivers licenseOn probation for another crimeHaving an open container of alcoholHaving multiple previous convictionsHaving an ignition interlock device on the vehicle

The United States President Should Not Be Limited

Thesis: Should the United States President be Limited to the Terms of Service in Office? In this paper, I will argue that the United States president should not be limited to two terms in office. The rational for two terms has been to prevent abuse of power. My argument is based on the benefits of unlimited presidential terms and the hindrance of limited terms on the United States’ economy. An important element to consider is the role democracy plays on presidential terms and elections. The respect of human rights is a significant attribute in a democratic environment and economy. Democracy allows the rights of citizens to be respected, such as an individual’s speech, religion or ethnicity. In a democratic economy every citizen has the†¦show more content†¦In 1947 Senator Claude argued â€Å"I think our people are to be safely trusted with their own destiny.† This is exactly what democracy gives the people of United States, a sense of security that the power to select their leader is in their hands. If the people are limited in how many terms the can elect a president, does that not defeat the purpose of democracy? Or if anything conflicts with the sole aim of democracy giving power to the people. Senator Claude also said â€Å"We do not need to protect the American people with a prohibition against a president whom they do not wish to elect; and if they wanted to elect him, have we the right to deny them the power?† The answer to that statement should be no, because a democratic government should not reflect any characteristics of a totalitarian government whatsoever. And denying the people their wish who they wish to elect only reflects that. Why prevent a presidential administration from reelection if the rate of effectiveness is high and beneficial to the economy? When elected in to office each president brings for an agenda, which is a list of adequacies to improve the country. Some Presidents successfully accomplished their intended goal at the end of their presidential term, some appear to be completely unsuccessful. And others leave the presidential office with a completely effective plan that appears to die because they cannot recomplete for the presidential sit and the newly

Black Men Can’t Rock Towards an Understanding of The Lack...

Introduction Let say you were kidnapped, blindfolded, driven to a secret venue, taken through the back door and into the stalls just in time for a show to begin. It’s unlikely I know, but stick with me. The stage is empty, the lights are dimmed and you can just about make out some instruments on the stage. Four men make their way from the side of the stage; they’re black, maybe mid-twenties and dressed in jeans and t-shirt. Before they play a note or even pick up an instrument what genre of music do you expect them to play? Hip Hop? RB)? Maybe, without the giveaway of a certain style of clothes it is hard to tell. Son House, Charlie Patton and Leadbelly were among the early writers and performers who advanced the genre as they were among the first to be documented on vinyl. The genre was developed further by the next generation of blues musician who saw the transition from delta blues to electric blues. Assesment 6 Practical Team Sport Free Essays

BTEC SubsidiaryExtended Diploma In Sport QCF Level 3 Unit 8: Practical Sport (PT) Unit 22: Rules, Regulations and Officiating in Sport (RR) Assessment 6 of 8 P1 Skills and techniques- Passing: the skill off passing is used when a player on the same team is giving the ball to another member, this is called passing and this is used to spread the play across the line of attack as the ball in tag rugby cannot be passed forward so generally the ball will be thrown sideways or backwards using the following technique. When the player feels that it is right they will look for a pass by doing this there head position will be looking to where they plan on the ball reaching and this is typically to the midriff of a player on their team so to perform this skill they will have their feet shoulder width apart so that they have balance but also they will have the ball in both hands so that they do not drop it when using the passing action which is having both hands either side of the ball bringing the ball back to create momentum and power and then bring it towards their target and releasing giving the force that is required for it to reach their team mate. Catching: This skill is when you are receiving a pass as you will have to catch the ball and to do this to make your teams play fluent and quick you must have a good technique on how to catch the ball. We will write a custom essay sample on Assesment 6 Practical Team Sport or any similar topic only for you Order Now To have a good technique on catching the ball you must make sure your hands are clear and visible for your teammate to see that you are ready for the ball but then when the ball is heading in your direction you must make sure that your feet are shoulders width apart and that you have a solid base and you are balanced then make sure your hands are close to your chest so that if you happen to miss the ball it will rebound off your chest and will be easier to catch , before catching the ball your head and eyes must be looking at the irection of the ball so that you are ready then when successfully catching the ball look for option on whether to pass it on or make a run forwards. Intercepting: The skill of intercepting is used when you prevent the opposition’s team from making a pass and you catch it which then converts possession into your teams favour. The technique of this skill is identifying where the ball is going to go and getting your body position correct to quickly react and catch it before a player on their team does for example if you are about to go in for an interception you will need to keep eyes on the ball and make sure all your body is in line with the ball including your hands so that you can grasp it in mid-flight. After you have caught the ball there will usually be a gap in their defence so as soon as you catch it there will be the opportunity to run for the score zone. Blocking: This is a skill used again for preventing the opposition from retaining the ball and the technique for this is to get any body part in the way of the balls intended destination. The technique to doing this is to make your body as big as possible with the biggest surface area as possible. To do this you will need to stretch out every limb possible and direct them in the way that the ball is heading so that you can block it. Tactics: on1 defending: This is when your team is the defending team and every person on your team has a person to mark on their team and it is your job to mark them so within tag rugby you would be lined up in your defensive line opposite the person you will be marking, a good point to this is that everyone on their team will be marked however if the person you are marking gets passed you then there is very little cover to prevent them from scoring a try. on 1: This is a tactic used when there is a specifically good player on the oppositions team and it is used by 2 players marking the 1 player that is dangerous to their team and it is there job to mark and defend against this one player, an advantage of this is that it may prevent that one player from scoring however because two people are marking 1 player it will leave a player on the other team without someone marking them so it could expose their defence. Zonal defending: this is where the defending team do not mark a person instead they mark zones so for example within tag rugby there would be teammates marking the middle sections and wide sections off the pitch and it is their responsibility to make sure that no one gets past them in that area however this can be quite a hard tactic to implement as everyone in the team needs to be disciplined else gaps would open up in the defence leading to opportunities for the attacking team to score. Half court: This tactic is again one that you would use for defending and this is where your team will only defend half the pitch so when the other team has it in there half they will not pressure them and let them have the ball but then as soon as the ball comes into the defensive half there will be high pressure on the ball carriers and players around them to try and gain possession back and limit the amount of chances the team will get, However leaving the team with this amount of space gives them time to build up pace which could mean that the defending team may not be able to catch the attacking team. Department of Marketing - Entrepreneurship & Strategy

Question: Discuss whether staff are likely to resist the planned changes. Critically evaluate the advantages which the use of such a model would bring to the situation. Answer: Introduction: Change is one of the most challenging tasks to perform for any organization. As the word defines its definition, it is the beginning of the new era. Whether it is any organization or any kind work or in any household, the word change brings smiles on the faces of the people. Everybody likes the changes which are done for the betterment of the society. From the business point of view, change is need of organization to compete in todays competitive business environment and to perform corporate planning efficiently (Agboola Salawu, 2011). In order to perform change organizational managers have to work together to develop a strong organizational culture that would not resist the change. Different organization use different techniques for performing this changing process. Planned Change Model: Organization need to undergo through process in order perform change efficiently. In this modern era, there is numerous numbers of factors which force the organization to bring chsnges in there in and around ambience at regular interval of time. . The factor that lead organization towards change is may be the internal factors which include employees attitude, culture, policy and procedures. In addition external forces like government legislation, customer demand, competitors, and economic condition will force an organization to perform changes (Allen, Jimmieson, Bordia Irmer, 2007). The top level managers of the organization are very well aware of the forces, which force them to make compromise with the word success. In 21st century for managing the workplace a significant part of change management strategies should include is Kurt Lewins three step model of change. This model was developed in early 90s but its Unfreezing-Transition-Freezing concept is still remains relevant current business environment. Kurt Lewins planned change model: The change management model will explain here to implement changing process in TR Ltd. How the three phase model work for TR Ltd. as key part of their business improvement and performing successful organization change is explained here. The phases of three step change model are given below: Unfreeze: In this stage management team of TR Ltd required making the need for change so obvious that the employees, group of individuals and organizations can become ready to accept it. For instance in TR company the assembly line workers may resist the change because they will have to move towards new employment contract that would impose lower pay scale. To influence the human resource manager who resists change to take action can be done by doing attitude survey of all staff at TR Ltd. This survey may show the morale of staff is quite low and hence risk of safety is quite higher. First step is educating employees and communicating with them about the need for change. This can be done by stating the outcome that the company can achieve such as if company gets successful through this change in future employee will get good career options and promotional opportunities (Arif, Jan, Marwat Ullah, 2009). This would help to increase employees confidence and belief that these changes are possible. It is important to do the analysis first to identify what change is required. Because change cannot be performed for change sake but it happen when compelling information about business and market is showing organization that how necessary to change now. To build and understanding internal research and external research and gathering of data about it is essential (Barachini, 2009). For developing new strategies and way of performing function it is important to break existing status quo. That is needed to break the system which is a resistance for organizations success. Management has to compel people in terms they can understand that the old ways company using for manufacturing cannot be continuing now (Bernerth et.al, 2011). Because the old status quo providing poor outcomes. During the changing process it is needed to maintain regular communication with the employees. Leaders have to apply open door policy where employee can discuss their concern and fear about the change. Transition: Managing Director of TR Ltd said that with the next pay slip everyone will receive the letter of new salary details and employment contract which include their new duties. Before this transition will happen it is require shifting or altering employees opinion about change. The process will require time to show its effect and will not happen quickly and will take time to be comfortable with change and act according to it (Bisel Barge, 2011). Once employees get to know the importance of change and how beneficial it is for them and for the company they will start to take initiative in the change and drive it. The people who unnecessarily creates problem in managing change and increase resistance towards change should be terminated from the organization (Bisel, Messersmith Keyton, 2010). As instructed by the managing director of TR Ltd. Change agents have to foster new values, attitudes and behavior by internationalization. Re-Freezing: When everything like employee, organizational structure and strategy elements all combined together and working well, then its time to freeze the things. This stage of model requires that every department manage make sure about the persistence of improvement (Carless, 2005). Freezing eliminates confusion for people who are unsure about what needs to be done if changes were not locked. Regarding to this context Managing Director conducted board meeting with the director of human resource department, finance department and production department. In that meeting all directors put their views about impact of changing process on organization level in front of managing director. Advantages of planned change model for TR Ltd Organization would achieve effectiveness and efficiency: There are different meanings of efficiency and effectiveness in terms when we are discussing about management unless they are the synonyms; the other word which comprises the synonyms are competency, productivity and the proficiency. There are other ways in which we can consider is efficiency means the output minus the input divide by the input or doing it in right way and effectiveness means doing the work efficiently and effectively. Let us consider the example of the surgeon, who is going to operate and have proper skills to do so and perhaps he is the one of the best in this field throughout the country. The job of the doctor is to operate the left knee of the patient. The efficiency of the doctor can be judged, when he tells the right, quick and efficient solution for the problem. To make that job an effective one, it is totally depend on the inner satisfaction of the patient that he/she is comfortable after the surgery. Bringing change in organization and its implementation: The change in the organization is quite constant and this always occurs. Evaluation of the kind and level of the change that anybody wants to bring in an organization can be done by understanding all of the components at an individual level. Understanding the needs of the every individual and its impact on his life is of very much importance because this shows how much level of satisfaction can be achieved by bringing the changes. FACTORS INFLUENCING ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE: The following are the factors which can influence the organization to bring changes in it:- The most important factor that influences the organization to bring changes is the external factor, which means the people who are visiting the organization notice most of the aspects that is not good inside and understanding those aspects are very important and with that respect changes can be done inside the organization. Perhaps of the external factors, there are lot of internal factors that can influence the organization to bring changes like there are some manufacturing parts which are having problem of accuracy due to the problem of the die or some machine internal problem or there is lack fo system in implementing some new rules in the company. So these kind of internal problems encourage organization to bring changes in the organization. Effective operation in global environment: There is a huge impact of the environmental factors on the organization. They join hand in hand in developing the organization in every aspect. This environment can be the internal or the external it have quite an influential effect on the company. Like as we say they complete cycle of the system in the way that the environmental factors inside the company include the organizational culture that hoe everybody is treating with each other in the organization, is the follow up of the proper channel of system? The behavior of the employees towards the development of the organization is optimistic or negative, the cleanliness is maintained in the organization and everybody is performing its duty to make the ambience clean and clear which helps in developing the organizations internal environment. From the external perspective the pollution that is created by the companies is affecting the health of the people as the pollution can of any kind, it can be air pollution or the water pollution . The air pollution means the contaminated air which is breathed by the workers and the water they drink. The main aim of the section is to study the environmental factors and the response of the organization in this context (Pillai, Watson and Eisenach, 1999). The analysis of organization-environment factors and its effects will results in setting up of much influential organizational strategies to cope with environmental changes. There are six variables that are considered in this perspective: internal environment, external environment, strategy, strategic orientation, competitive organizational structure and performance of business (Higgs Rowland, 2005). The test of validity and reliability shows that the variables which are considered are reliable and highly valid in this respect. Concerning these effects, following are the findings are: (1) there is positive influences of the external environment to competitive strategies, (2) on the other hand, internal environments also have optimistic influences to competitive strategies, (3) the structure of the organization have negative influence to competitive strategies, (4) on the strategic orientation the competitive strategies have optimistic influence, (5) business performance also have th e optimistic influences of competitive strategies, (6) also organizational structures have optimistic influence on competitive strategies,(7)strategic orientation have optimistic influence to the business performance, and (8) business performance are influenced by the organization structure. Demonstrate awareness of their probable impact on future: Taking the future perspective in this context, globalization is the way we make it to the global level. The interaction of the people of different countries, culture, ethnics and colors develop the possibilities to expand business to the global level. With the development of the information technology now it is quite easy to share the things from one place to any part of the world. The economic perspective for the organization will rise if they get connected to the different people who are working with different organizations. The socio economic behavior of the people develops with the globalization which give boost to the international trade and investment. The communication technology is advanced with the time i.e the technological advancements of internet, telecommunication, smart phones and other communication mediums. These types of communication systems help in developing the business. Help to manage conflict in organization: There are different kinds of conflicts that occur in the organization and there is a need of efficient and effective management to handle those conflicts and settle them in the favor of the companies. The conflicts are nothing just the communication barrier which is being created due some internal politics. Every organization has these kinds of conflicts, but there is always a need to settle those conflicts as soon as possible so that I may not affect the production of the component and reflect negative effect from the customer perspective. There are internal and external issues which even by ignoring rise up as a conflict. Like if we take the example of the internal conflicts, while maintaining the machine, the mechanical maintenance department workers was maintaining then suddenly the production supervisor started shouting on it to complete the work as soon as possible and also used some unhealthy words to him which he couldnt abled to resist himself to give revert back to him. This raised the conflict in the workshop and all the workers of that workshop got involved into it by favoring the maintenance department worker. This situation took a huge face, which resulted in the loss of the production, internal environment of the organization got disturbed and from the economic perspective there occurred huge lose. This shows that there is huge rise in the conflict and the production supervisor is involved in this conflict. Now it is the responsibility of the production manager and maintenance manager to get involved and solve the conflict and bring the movement in the production and if they will not get involved then it would certainly effect the production. So there is need of strong management to solve that conflict as soon as possible in favor of the company. This will increase the profitability of the organization and teaching the workers the lesson that how these conflicts affecting their lives and their performance. Encouraging the hard working workers is another perspective by increasing their salaries and promoting them to the respectable posts. This also encourages the workers to get involved in their work and keep away from the conflicts. Conclusion: In concluding the above discussed facts, I came to the conclusion that maintaining the organization environment is quite important to keep the organization healthy from every perspective i.e from customer perspective and from organizational benefit perspective and also from the economic perspective. There is always need of skilled and strong management which take steps in a planned way so that the rules can be implemented in a effective way and are followed it efficiently. The management should have good relation with the employees of the organization so that they respect every decision of the organization.
